Skills Development and Employment Equity:

At Invictus Group, we specialise in helping businesses comply with and benefit from the Skills Development Act and Employment Equity Act. By implementing effective training programs and equity strategies, we enable organizations to foster a skilled, diverse, and inclusive workforce while ensuring full compliance with South African legislation.

Skills Development

The Skills Development Act aims to enhance workplace skills and establish a culture of continuous learning and development in organizations. Invictus Group provides expert guidance to help businesses meet these objectives through:

Accredited Training

We assist employers in sourcing accredited training providers for specialized programs such as:

  • First Aid Training
  • Firefighting
  • Forklift Operation

These providers certify employees upon successful completion, ensuring that your workforce is equipped with the necessary qualifications.

In-House Training

We guide businesses in structuring effective in-house training programs, enabling employees to acquire job-specific skills directly from supervisors or senior staff. This approach ensures targeted learning while keeping training costs manageable.

Compliance with Reporting Requirements

To help employers retain access to grants and maintain their B-BBEE status, we assist in compiling and submitting:

  • Workplace Skills Plans (WSP)
  • Annual Training Reports (ATR)

Employers must record and calculate training costs accurately, whether for in-house or accredited training, to comply with Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) requirements.

Skills Development Levy (SDL) Management

Employers with an annual payroll of R500,000 or more are required to pay a 1% Skills Development Levy. We help businesses:

  • Navigate the SDL payment process.
  • Claim back 50% of the SDL as a Mandatory Grant by adhering to SETA guidelines.
